I have finished what I think might be the final draft of the second book in the "Sacrament" series of probably three. THE 4TH MANIFESTATION will be published through Amazon's Kindle later this week. In the meantime, I went through the first book in the series, BLOOD SACRAMENT, and gave it a month-long additional editing. I believe that it is now as ready as it can be, so if anyone purchased and read it before now, I apologize . . . but not much. The changes are barely noticeable. I fixed some verbosity and technical issues, but nothing that alters the characters or plot, so in the paper version it contains the same ISBN.
I'm hoping that this second book will not require the same revisiting and rewriting, but no way to know at the moment. I like the book cover that I commissioned from bookcovercafe.com. I used them for BLOOD SACRAMENT, and I would recommend them for other indie writers. Anthony Putee and company do fine work!
Now I'm nearly 20,000 words into the third installment. I'm worried right now that I don't have enough material for a novel, but I had the same worry 10,000 words into THE 4TH MANIFESTATION.
I have often been wondering whether anyone was reading my words here. Well, I received an email from one of my old Army buddies after he visited this site. In fact, he was probably one of the most influential people on my life that I've ever known. I just don't (and didn't) think that I meant as much to him. So here's to anyone from my past who stumbles along to find these words here: every one of you left an indelible imprint on my soul!
