Barbie Hype

I've noticed on many conservative news feeds in various places on the internet that conservative pundits seem upset about some perceived liberal propaganda in the new Barbie movie. Actually, I think they need some of what the media calls "copy." Other sources of news must have fallen by the wayside. I'm actually conservative leaning myself, but I don't see the problem with this movie. I haven't seen it, but I can't see how this film could do damage to our moral values. It's a film, not a political party platform.

Whoever in Hollywood is behind this venture was brilliant financially. And that's the bottom line, isn't it? The film studios are businesses, and in our free-market system, businesses are in competition to make money. Making a film that is guaranteed to elicit the interest of young girls is actually a stroke of financial genius. We're not talking art here.

I won't see this movie, but not out of protest. I won't see it because I am not interested. To put it as mildly as I care to, I don't give a fuck!
