What's the point?

It's been a long, long time since I last wrote on this blog, but what's the point anyway? Back when I began and wrote every few days, no one ever wrote to tklaverents@tklaverents.com indicating in any way that he or she actually read any of my posts. Every now and then, I will get a message in my inbox from someone who's an "expert" on website design and wants to help me "tweak" my site for optimization. I never answer because that's not why I have this site. Each time I log in from various computers and servers, everything looks and works fine.

Also, what's with the occasional message from folks on the Indian sub-continent? It would be fine if any of these respondents bought my books or indicated that they read any pages of them, but that never happens.

Finally (in this post), I will never again go on Facebook for any purpose concerning my writing. A couple years ago, I offered a book (for a particular title) in exchange for an honest review. I received three takers but no reviews. Three books in exchange for zero reviews!

Really, I had hoped that readers would come here and chat my books with me. The website is, after all, listed in two places on each book.

I'm not sure what the future is for me as a blogger on this site. Perhaps I should just use it for general rambling.

I would say "stay tuned," but why? I don't think there is anyone who can stay tuned.
